QA ENGINEER

Position Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our software development team and take responsibility for ensuring the quality, reliability, functionality, and usability of our digital platform.

The QA Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, Solution Architect, Frontend Developers, Backend Developers, and UI/UX Designer throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

· Review BRS, FRS, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

· Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

· Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

· Test business rules, workflows, forms, validations, roles, and permissions.

· Perform API testing and validate system integrations.

· Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs.

· Re-test fixes and perform regression testing.

· Validate UI/UX implementation against approved designs.

· Perform cross-browser and responsive testing.

· Support UAT, system demonstrations, and release validation.

· Verify data consistency between the UI, APIs, and system modules.

· Maintain clear QA documentation and test reports.

· Work closely with developers to reproduce, investigate, and resolve issues.

· Participate in standups, sprint reviews, requirement discussions, and bug review sessions.

· Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and software quality.

· Perform performance, reliability, and security testing based on project requirements.

· Monitor, analyze, and report quality metrics, testing progress, defect trends, and release readiness.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, tools, processes, and overall product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s (BSc) or Master’s (MSc) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role.

· Good understanding of software testing methodologies.

· Experience testing web-based applications.

· Experience creating test cases and reporting/managing bugs.

· Knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

· Basic to intermediate API testing knowledge; experience with Postman is a plus.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to understand technical and business requirements.

· Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.

· Knowledge of SQL, automation testing, performance testing, or security testing is an advantage.

· Experience with complex enterprise systems such as insurance, banking, fintech, ERP, or government platforms is an advantage.

· Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar technology

· ISTQB or other software testing certifications are an advantage.
