Graduate Trainee (Technology / Software Development)

Job Purpose

To provide practical software development training and hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications for ODRA, an integrated platform for hotels and restaurants, and KODIS e-Invoice, a fiscal invoicing system integrated with the Ministry of Revenues.

The trainee will develop technical competencies under the guidance of the CEO / Technical Lead and progressively contribute to software development projects, with the opportunity for permanent employment as a Junior Software Developer upon successful completion of the training and satisfactory performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL, and frontend features using React.
• Support API development and e-invoicing system integration activities.
• Write, test, and debug code under technical supervision.
• Participate in software testing, code reviews, deployment, and technical documentation
• Identify and report software defects and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Follow established coding standards, security practices, and development procedures.
• Collaborate with the CEO / Technical Lead and other team members to complete assigned tasks.
• Participate in training, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning activities.
• Demonstrate progressive improvement in technical skills, productivity, and responsibility.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience

• No prior professional experience is required.
• Academic projects, internships, or personal software development projects are an advantage.

Technical Competencies

• Basic knowledge of programming, preferably Python.
• Understanding of web development fundamentals and REST APIs.
• Basic familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and Git.
• Exposure to FastAPI, PostgreSQL, React, or JavaScript is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of software testing, debugging, and problem-solving.

• The trainee will undergo a six-month structured, on-the-job training and performance assessment program. Evaluation will consider:

• Adherence to coding standards and security practices.
• Teamwork, communication, accountability, and learning progress.

Career Progression

Upon successful completion of the six-month training period and satisfactory performance, the trainee may be considered for permanent employment as a Junior Software Developer, subject to management approval and the company's staffing requirements.
