Part-time IT Support Request for Proposal (RFP)

Summary and Background:

Resolve to Save Lives (RTSL), is a U.S. based not-for-profit organization partnering with countries, communities, and organizations to prevent 100 million deaths from cardiovascular disease and make the world safer from epidemics. RTSL has been working with the Ethiopia Public Health Institute and the Ethiopia Federal Ministry of Health, providing broad-based technical assistance and support across different program areas. In Ethiopia, the Prevent Epidemic program focuses on helping the country improve its capacity across some of the International Health Regulations (IHR) technical areas and seeks to initiate the collection and utilization of timely information related to public health emergency detection, notification, and response to improve the system’s performance in early detection and response.

Scope of Service

Provide IT support to RTSL staff, averaging 3-5 hours per week. Services include laptop deployment, setup, troubleshooting, and networking. The technician will primarily be available for scheduled in-office support sessions every Thursday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM EAT at the Ethiopia office. The technician may also be required to provide support on other days for immediate issues or onboarding/offboarding new staff, either in person or virtually.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Hardware Support: Provide support to RTSL staff, both remotely and on-premise in Addis Ababa, logging any issues within the RTSL IT ticketing platform. This includes:

• Workstation, server, and infrastructure equipment support
• Video conferencing audio-video support
• Telephony support

Software Troubleshooting: Provide assistance both remotely and on-premise.

• Consultation and Advice: Consult and advise on IT-related projects.
• IT Asset Management: Manage the IT asset life cycle and document IT hardware assets.
• Workstation Preparation: Prepare workstations with initial configuration, including:
• • Local profile creation
  • Configuring security settings
  • Installing Windows and hardware updates
  • Installing software
  • Setting up remote access
  • Recycling used equipment, following data destruction standards
  • Assisting with onboarding and offboarding
  • Implementing antivirus and remote management

Time Frame

• For one year it is possible to extension up to one year.

Evaluation Criteria

• Proposals will be evaluated in two parts. The technical proposal shall bear 50% of the total marks while the financial proposal shall bear 50% of the total marks.

Payment Details

Payment will be in accordance with a detailed pricing breakdown and schedule as submitted through the proposal and agreed on in the contract, and invoices will be expected from the service provider prior to payment along with expected deliverables stated in the contract agreement.
