Junior Stock Control Officer

Job Purpose

The Junior Stock Control Officer will be responsible for supporting daily stock control operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring efficient inventory management processes. The successful candidate will work closely with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure stock accuracy and availability and also ensure optimal stock levels, prevents stock discrepancies, and supports the smooth flow of materials for operations, production, or distribution needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the ERP system.

• Monitor stock levels and flag low-stock or overstock situations to the supervisor.

• Conduct regular stock counts.

• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Prepare and submit stock reports .

• Assist in processing stock receipts, transfers, and dispatch documentation.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of stock control policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to ensure stock availability.

• Assist in identifying slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of stock-related records.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering related field.

Experience

• 0–1 years of experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related role.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Skills and Competencies

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong knowledge of stock control principles and inventory management.
