Haset Information Technology PLC is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare, review, and post journal entries in the accounting system.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Prepare accurate financial statements including:
Income Statement
Balance Sheet
Cash Flow Reports
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Provide financial analysis and management reports to support business decisions.
Accounting Operations
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Payroll Administration
Bank and Account Reconciliations
Process supplier invoices and payment vouchers accurately.
Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collections and billing.
Conduct regular reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare and file tax obligations including:
VAT
Withholding Tax
Income Tax
Pension Contributions
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
Maintain organized records for audits and statutory reporting.
Liaise with ERCA and other regulatory authorities when necessary.
Cash Flow & Internal Controls
Monitor cash flow and banking transactions to maintain liquidity.
Support payroll processing, statutory deductions, and salary disbursement.
Assist internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Identify financial risks and recommend process improvements.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with internal departments to monitor expenses and financial performance.
Communicate effectively with vendors, banks, auditors, and government institutions.
Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong understanding of Ethiopian tax and financial regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Peachtree.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in transportation, technology, or tech-enabled service industries is an advantage.
