Senior ERPNext (Frappe/Python) Developer

Job Summary
Gahdi Digital Investment and Tora Holding are seeking two experienced Senior ERPNext/Frappe Developers to lead the implementation, customization, and integration of ERPNext across Tora Holding’s subsidiary companies. The developers will be responsible for localizing ERPNext for Ethiopian tax, reporting, and business workflows, integrating with external systems, and ensuring a smooth digital transformation within a 3-month timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, customize, and maintain ERPNext modules including Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR, CRM, and Sales.

• Localize ERPNext for Ethiopian tax laws, reporting standards, and statutory requirements.

• Develop custom Frappe apps, doctypes, scripts, and workflows as needed.

• Integrate ERPNext with third-party systems such as payment gateways, microfinance institutions, banks, and internal super apps via REST APIs.

• Migrate legacy data from existing systems into ERPNext.

• Design and customize print formats, dashboards, and reports.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Conduct user training and provide post-implementation support.

• Collaborate with business analysts, department heads, and external consultants.

• Ensure security, role-based access, and data integrity across all subsidiary companies.

• Prepare technical documentation and user manuals.

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with ERPNext and Frappe framework.

• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MariaDB/MySQL.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.

• Knowledge of Linux server administration, Git, and Docker.

• Understanding of ERP business processes (Accounting, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Fluent in English (Amharic is a plus).

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ethiopian tax, VAT, withholding, and payroll regulations.

• Prior work in manufacturing, microfinance, or holding company environments.

• Familiarity with Frappe Cloud, ERPNext v14/v15, and custom app development.

• Experience with payment gateways (Telebirr, Chapa, etc.) and local banking APIs.

• Certification in ERPNext or Frappe is an advantage.

  Deliverables

• Fully functional and localized ERPNext system for Tora Holding and subsidiaries.

• Custom modules and integrations as specified.

• Data migration completed and verified.

• User training sessions and documentation.

• Post-implementation support for 2 weeks after go-live.

• On-time completion of milestones within 3 months.

  Working Conditions
  Contract duration: 3 months (full-time).
  Location: Addis Ababa, with occasional travel to subsidiary sites.
  Equipment: Company laptop and necessary software provided.
