Full Stack Developer

AddisSphere is looking for a proactive, results-driven Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team remotely. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end web features, translate UI designs into high-performance web frontends using Next.js and React, and build robust, scalable backend APIs using Node.js and Express.

We prioritize practical engineering ability, clean code practices, and proven production output over formal academic credentials.

• Full-Stack Engineering: Design, build, and maintain production-ready web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and Express.js.
• Frontend Implementation: Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect web interfaces leveraging modern CSS tooling (such as Tailwind CSS).
• SSR & Performance Optimization: Implement Next.js routing patterns (SSR, SSG, Server Actions) while optimizing Core Web Vitals, asset delivery, and client-side rendering performance.
• Backend & API Architecture: Architect, develop, and secure RESTful APIs and middleware with Express.js, ensuring scalable data flows, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and rate limiting.
• Database Management: Design database schemas, write efficient queries, and manage data models using relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) with modern ORMs/ODMs.
• Deployment & Maintenance: Maintain live application deployments on cloud platforms (e.g., Vercel, AWS, Render), monitor production logs, and ensure maximum uptime.
• Code Quality: Write clean, modular, and maintainable TypeScript/JavaScript code, conduct thorough code reviews, and implement automated tests.

• Practical Experience: 2+ years of hands-on professional experience developing and shipping full-stack web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and Express.js.
• Proven Production Work: At least one live, accessible production website or web application that you actively built or significantly contributed to.
• Modern Web Stack: Solid proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+), React hooks, state management, and modern component design patterns.
• Backend Competence: Strong understanding of Express.js routing, middleware design, asynchronous workflows, and API security best practices.
  Version Control: Proficiency with Git, feature branching, and collaborative pull request workflows.
• Autonomous Remote Work: Strong written communication, self-management, and experience collaborating asynchronously across issue trackers (e.g., Jira, Linear, GitHub).
