Odoo Developer

We are looking for a practical, execution-focused Odoo Developer with a proven track record of taking an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system from scratch to a live, production-ready deployment. You will design, customize, and maintain Odoo modules, integrate third-party services, and work closely with internal stakeholders or clients to translate business workflows into seamless digital operations.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Implementation: Lead or actively participate in full-lifecycle Odoo deployments (Requirement Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Support).

• Module Customization & Development: Build custom Odoo modules and adapt existing ones (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, etc.) using Python, XML, and JavaScript (OWL).

• System Integration: Connect Odoo with external platforms (payment gateways, SMS providers, custom web apps, or legacy systems) via REST/SOAP APIs and Webhooks.

• Data Migration: Clean, structure, and migrate legacy data (customers, products, chart of accounts, opening balances) into Odoo securely and accurately.

• Performance & Maintenance: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bugs, optimize PostgreSQL database queries, and manage backups and server updates.

• User Enablement: Create technical documentation and guide end-users and department heads on best practices to ensure high system adoption.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with the Odoo framework (v15, v16, v17, or v18).

• Proven Track Record: Must have successfully delivered and taken at least one live Odoo ERP implementationinto production for a real organization.

• Technical Stack:

  • Strong proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, and HTML/CSS/JS.

  • Solid understanding of Odoo ORM, MVC architecture, views, and automated actions.

  • Familiarity with Linux server administration, Docker, and Nginx reverse proxy configurations.

• Business Acumen: Solid grasp of core business processes (supply chain, accounting workflows, inventory valuation, sales pipelines) to map requirements effectively.

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset, clear communication, and the ability to manage expectations during high-pressure go-live phases.
