Business Analyst

About the Role

Afrolink Systems is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and support the analysis, design, and implementation of digital software solutions.

The Business Analyst will work closely with clients, users, project managers, designers, and software developers to understand business needs, analyze processes, define requirements, and translate them into clear and actionable software specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements through stakeholder interviews, meetings, workshops, and user consultations.

• Analyze existing business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Translate business and user needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.

• Prepare SRS, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

• Work closely with software developers, UI/UX designers, architects, QA engineers, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Clarify requirements and support developers during implementation.

• Participate in solution design and system integration discussions.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate developed features against approved requirements.

• Manage requirement changes and maintain requirements traceability.

• Prepare project and product documentation as required.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, functional analysis, or software implementation.

• Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting software requirements.

• Strong experience preparing SRS, functional requirements, user stories, and process documentation.

• Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies.

• Experience working directly with clients and software development teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience working on enterprise or large-scale digital platforms.

• Experience with government or institutional projects.

• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, databases, and software architecture.

• Experience in ERP functional design and implementation, including requirements gathering, business analysis, and business-process configuration.

• Experience in agriculture, ERP, fintech, marketplace, or other complex technology domains is an advantage.
