About this role
The successful candidate will be stable, experienced, willing to work as part of a team, and able to handle a variety of areas, including desktop support; network maintenance and support; phone system; security cameras; software; document management software; etc.
- Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals
- Managing IT budgets, forecasting, handling cash flow and enforcing cost-effectiveness,
- Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes,
- Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware,
- Assuring that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulations,
- Testing, troubleshooting and adjusting information systems to operate effectively,
- Implementing security of the network, data, and its storage and communication systems, and
- Supporting the department with all the knowledge they have when needed,
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Running regular checks on network and data security,
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems,
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization,
- Designing training programs and workshops for staff,
- Conducting regular system audits,
- Running and sharing regular operational system reports with senior staff,
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages,
- Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget,
- Providing direction for IT team members,
- Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement,
- Managing information technology and computer systems,
- Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations,
- Collaborative team member,
- Experience coordinating installations, upgrades, and maintenance,

- Knowledge of architecture processes and performance reports of operating systems,

- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation,
- Ability to manage personnel,
- Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services,
- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure,
- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes,
- Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs,
- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software,
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT,
- Generating performance reports for operating systems,
- Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations,
- Evaluating technology risks to develop a very good disaster recovery plan and backup procedures,
- Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices,

Requirements
Education:
- University BSc. degree in Computer Science, technology, or related fields
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Manager,
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of technical management and information analysis,
- Excellent knowledge of hardware and software systems,
- Data center management and data governance skills,
- Excellent at overseeing IT budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness,
- In-depth experience with computer networks, network administration, and installation,
