Full-Stack Developer (Payments)

We are financial technology company building a secure and reliable payment gateway for businesses in Ethiopia. Our platform enables merchants to accept online and in-app payments through telebirr, M-Pesa, bank transfers, and cards, all through a single integration. Headquartered in Addis Ababa,

The Role

You will build everything merchants and their customers see and touch: the checkout experience, the merchant dashboard, and the tools developers use to integrate with us. You will work closely with the backend team and own the quality of the merchant experience.

What You Will Do

• Design, build and maintain features across the frontend and backend of the platform.

• Build secure, reliable systems that handle payments and sensitive data.

• Integrate with payment providers, banks and third-party APIs.

• Write clean, tested and well-documented code.

• Work with the team to plan, review and ship features quickly.

• Support both Amharic and English in user-facing products.

What You Must Have

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience.

• At least 2 years on a payment, banking, wallet or fintech product in production.

• Has built and shipped payment or financial features end to end.

• Strong skills in a modern frontend framework, such as React, Vue or Angular.

• Solid backend experience in Node.js, Java, Go or a similar language.

• Understanding of web security, including XSS, CSRF, secure authentication and safe handling of sensitive data.

• Experience working with REST APIs and webhooks.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating telebirr, M-Pesa, Chapa or Ethiopian bank APIs.

• Has built SDKs, e-commerce plugins or public developer documentation.

• Mobile development experience with Flutter, React Native or native Android.

• Familiarity with PCI DSS requirements for payment pages.
