QA Engineer (manual and automation)

We’re looking for a skilled QA Engineer to help ensure our software is reliable, functional, and delivers a great user experience. You’ll design test strategies, improve automation coverage, and work closely with developers to prevent defects before release.

Key Responsibilities

Test planning and execution**

Review requirements/user stories and create test plans

Write clear test cases and execute manual tests (web/mobile/backend as applicable)

Perform regression testing before every release

Automation**

Build and maintain automated test suites to improve coverage and reduce manual effort

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (as applicable)

Bug reporting and collaboration**

Log defects with proper reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and evidence

Work with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes

Quality improvements**

Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements

Maintain test documentation and track quality metrics

Release readiness**

Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure releases meet quality standards

Requirements

Experience in QA testing**

1+ years (edit based on your need) in software QA testing (manual and/or automation)

Testing fundamentals**

Strong understanding of test cases, bug lifecycle, and regression testing

Automation skills (choose based on your stack)**

Experience with Selenium / Playwright / Cypress / WebdriverIO (select relevant)

Ability to write automation scripts and maintain test frameworks

API testing**

Experience with Postman or similar tools

Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods/status codes

Tools & workflows**

Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira / Azure DevOps / Linear

Understanding of Git and CI concepts (optional but preferred)

Communication**

Good collaboration skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

Experience testing mobile apps (Android/iOS)

Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter/Locust)

Familiarity with CI/CD and test automation integration

Experience with Bugs/quality reporting and metrics dashboards
