Job Summary

Information Systems Security Officer I in Metemamen Microfinance Responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, and data by implementing security policies and controls, assessing and mitigating cybersecurity risks, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with applicable security standards and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to safeguard the bank’s systems, networks, and data.

• Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate threats.

• Perform incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.

• Implement and manage security controls to protect sensitive data, systems, and networks.

• Stay current on evolving security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing necessary updates and security patches.

• Collaborate with IT operations, business units, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.

• Provide security awareness training and education to employees.

Job Requirements

Qualification

• Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering & Related IT fields

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in digital systems development, integration, or related fields.

• Minimum of 1-2 year of experience as a Information Systems Security or in an equivalent role.

Required Skills

• Information security and cybersecurity principles

• Security risk, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing

• Incident detection, response and investigation

• Network, system and data security controls

• Security monitoring, threat analysis and patch management

• Knowledge of security standards, policies and regulatory requirements

• Security awareness and training skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
