Fintech Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Documentation: Gather stakeholder requirements and produce clear BRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.

• Financial & Transaction Operations: Define business rules for fees, limits, commissions, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.

• System & API Integration: Map out system integration concepts and API requirements in close coordination with developers, architects, and QA teams.

• Compliance & Risk: Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to relevant KYC, AML, and financial regulatory requirements.

• Testing & Delivery: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), review developed features against requirements and assist with project deployment.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain clear communication across internal teams, external fintech partners, and financial institutions.

Roles

• Business-Tech Liaison: Act as the central bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, external partners, and financial institutions.

• Domain Subject Matter Expert: Provide fintech domain expertise throughout the complete project lifecycle.

• Process & Requirements Definition: Define and document end-to-end business processes, transaction flows, and system requirements.

• Product Support: Support the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of fintech products and services.

• Compliance Alignment: Ensure all implemented solutions meet operational, business, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 3+ years in business analysis across fintech, banking, digital payments, or wallet projects.

• Methodologies: Practical experience with software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum practices.
