Senior Software Developer

Job Purpose

We are looking for a motivated senior software programmer, with excellent task management skills with attending development, analysis and reporting skill for high impact business solutions. We need a motivated senior software engineer with strong task management skills. You must handle development, analysis, and reporting for high-impact business solutions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work in a structured environment with a focus on task execution.

• Interpret business requirements into effective solutions.

• Apply good technical and problem-solving skills. Keep a keen eye on quality.

• Guide junior programmers in best practices and implementation.

• Produce code that follows the quality and security guidelines.

• Apply security know-how: authentication, authorization, input validation, and secret handling.

• Define service boundaries, the data model, API contracts, and failure modes.

• Design unit, integration, and contract tests.

• Set review standards and enforce them. Attend code and design reviews.

• Set and enforce coding and review standards for the team.

• Help with architectural design.

• Own the technical onboarding of new developers.

• Show evidence of coaching and mentoring juniors.

• Use Git workflow, pull requests, CI pipelines, and environment promotion.

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality.

• Conduct software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

• Upgrade and debug software when required.

• Analyze data and communicate project status.

• Commit to continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field. Master's Degree preferred.

Experience

• Six years or more years of work experience in the design and development of enterprise applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven skills in planning and task management.

• Strong backend experience in Phyton, Fast API.

• Strong frontend experience in TypeScript, Svelte, React.

• Experience in REST APIs, JSON, and XML.

• Experience in PostgreSQL. Redis is a plus.

• Experience with software development tools and CLI tools, such as Git.

• Experience in enterprise application programming.

• Cloud-native delivery experience.

• Observability experience is a plus: logging, metrics, tracing, and OpenAPI.

• AI and machine learning literacy is a plus. Delivery experience in AI is not required.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
