Yegna Microfinance Institution S.C was established to contribute to Ethiopia’s economic development by offering tailored financial products and services aimed at wealth creation and profitability. Despite the microfinance industry’s relatively short history, it has expanded rapidly, addressing the financial needs of low-income individuals with the capacity to run businesses. There remains a significant gap in financial services for economically active micro, small, and medium enterprises in both rural and urban areas. Licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia and registered with the Ministry of Trade & Industry, Yegna Microfinance was founded with an initial capital of 160 million Birr and began operations in 2022. Its shareholders are young, educated, and committed entrepreneurs dedicated to making a social and economic impact. The institution collaborates with various stakeholders, including government and non-governmental organizations, banks, and development institutions. Its logo symbolizes sustainable growth, financial inclusiveness, and empowerment, with a strong focus on supporting lower-income communities, women, youth, and SMEs.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Msc/MA/BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, Computer Engineering or related fields Professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications in IT Security, enterprise applications, database management, IT service management, business intelligence, core banking systems, or related areas are preferable.

Years of Experience:

• Minimum of 4/6 years of relevant experience in MIS, IT Security Management, enterprise applications, core banking systems, reporting platforms, or IT operations management.

• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role leading application support, IT Security Management, MIS, or enterprise systems teams.

• Proven experience in financial institutions, microfinance, or other regulated environments is highly preferred.

Work Location: This position is based at Addis Ababa

Contract Type: This is a permanent position.
