Junior System Administrator

A Junior System Administrator is an entry-level IT professional responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting an organization's computer systems and network infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

• Network Installation and configuration: install and configure network infrastructure at clients site

• System Maintenance: Installing software’s, change operating systems, check computer performance for system usage, managing operating system patches, and performing routine hardware upgrades.

• Remote Desktop application: install and configure remote desktop application like Any desk and TeamViewer to be used by software engineers and managers

• Training and Implementation: train and implement company software’s to users

• Software Testing: apply user level testing to products developed by the company before installing or training

Required skill & Knowledge

• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows environments and foundational knowledge of formatting and troubleshooting.

• Networking Basics: Installing and crimping network hardware’s, understanding IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and basic troubleshooting commands like ping and ipconfig.

• Scripting & Automation: Basic scripting skills using PowerShell (for Windows)

• Configuring printers: basic knowledge of installing printer drivers, sharing printer among multiple users, troubleshooting errors related with driver and firmware
