About the Role

iLearn is looking for a Test Automation Developer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright and

TypeScript. You will build, maintain, and improve reliable end-to-end automated test suites for web

applications, working closely with developers and QA to catch issues early and speed up releases.

This is not a manual testing role — we need someone who writes clean, maintainable automation code

daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain E2E test automation frameworks using Playwright + TypeScript

• Write stable, reusable tests using Page Object Model, fixtures, and custom helpers

• Automate regression, smoke, and integration suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub

Actions / Azure DevOps / Jenkins)

• Debug flaky tests and improve reliability, coverage, and execution speed

• Perform API testing as part of automation (REST, Playwright request mocking/interception)

• Review requirements/user stories and identify test scenarios early

• Log, track, and verify defects with developers

Required Experience

• 3+ years in test automation / SDET / QA automation

• 2+ years hands-on with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript

• Strong TypeScript — async/await, types/interfaces, OOP

• Experience building a framework from scratch or significantly extending one

• Git, CI/CD, and running tests headless / in Docker

• API testing experience (Postman, Playwright APIRequestContext, or similar)

• Good understanding of HTML, CSS selectors, DOM, and browser dev tools

• Good English communication and ability to work independently remotely

• Visual regression or accessibility testing (axe)

• Selenium, Cypress, Java, or Python automation

• Allure / Playwright HTML reporting

• BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest
