Laptop Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Laptop Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops and related computer equipment. The role will be responsible for ensuring company devices remain functional, secure, and properly maintained while providing timely technical support to users.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot laptop hardware and software issues.

• Perform hardware repairs, replacements, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.

• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, applications, and system updates.

• Troubleshoot issues involving batteries, screens, keyboards, storage drives, RAM, charging ports, and other laptop components.

• Perform data backup, recovery, and basic system migration when required.

• Configure laptops for new and existing employees.

• Maintain accurate records of company laptops, repairs, replacements, and spare parts.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on laptops and other computer equipment.

• Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, printers, and other peripherals.

• Ensure devices comply with company security and IT standards.

• Escalate complex hardware or software issues to the appropriate IT support team.

• Provide basic technical guidance and support to end users.

• Maintain proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and replacement components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 1-4 years of experience in laptop/computer hardware maintenance or IT technical support.

• Strong knowledge of laptop hardware, components, and troubleshooting.

• Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and drivers.

• Knowledge of hardware diagnostic and repair tools.

• Basic knowledge of networking and computer peripherals.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical requests.

• CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
